In 2011, Professor Mobarak led students to Brazil.  There they visited multinational corporations, local for-profit and non-profit firms, NGOs and government institutions in three different cities (Salvador, São Paulo and Campo Grande) representing three of the country’s five regions. Highlights of the trip included meeting with Petrobrás, Brazil’s Central Bank, BM&F Bovespa, BNDES (Brazilian Development Bank), Ford Brazil, Embraer, start-up airline Azul, a soybean plantation, a petrochemical complex, a Favela, investment firms and banks, former government leaders, and INDG (the Institute for Management Development).
