Egypt & Ghana 2009

Yale SOM International Experience

In 2009, Professor Mobarak and Professor Rodrigo Canales led students to Egypt and Ghana.  During the five days in Egypt, the students participated in seminars, discussions and meetings in a variety of sectors including government, education, tourism, telecommunications, and non-governmental.  Highlights of the trip included a government meeting with the Minister of Trade, Rachid Mohammed Rachid, the Mexican Ambassador to Egypt, and a panel discussion with Egyptian Entrepreneurs.  In the five days in Ghana the students had similar exposure to a variety of sectors, meeting with the Ghanaian Chamber of Commerce, Coca-Cola, and the Director of the Trade and Investment Program for Competitive Export Economy.
