Yale SOM International Experience

In 2013, Professor Mobarak took a group of students to Indonesia.  During their time abroad, students met with leading business consultants in Jakarta and the managing director of the Sintesa group, a syndicate of 17 companies involved in industry, energy, property and consumer products.   Students also met with the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Indonesia and the lead economist for AusAID in Indonesia.  This trip also contained visits to Kalimatan Island, a coal mine, and rainforest preservation efforts at the the Samboja Lodge near Balkipapan.
